Another day and yet another eruption of Mount Saint Helens. The Mountain must not wake up in a very good mood because for the last 2 days, she has erupted in the morning hours. They say that lava is beginning to come out of the dome in the crater and the Glacier is beginning to melt and cause steam plum's.
There is also a lake starting to form in the crater and it is boiling because of the heat from the magma in the volcano. The ash today is going towards the E, NE, so, there is no worry of getting the ash here today. The clouds are coming in tonight with rain by nightfall, so, there will be little to see for the next few days. Looks as if this eruption is lasting well over an hour and the plume is going low and traveling pretty far. This eruption started at 9:03 and the time is now 10:15am. What a sight to see!
There are now 3 vents in the top of the volcano. During the eruption there were no earthquake but after, they are very slowly starting to shake things again. The volcano seems to be tiered and resting a bit.
