Happy Graduation, Grandpa!

Sorry to those who have been waiting for an update, but between work, softball and yardwork, when it's not raining, I have been running around with little time for myself. One of the things I have been doing is getting my grandfathers diploma. Back in 1940 or so, he can't remember when he was to Graduate, my grandpa needed one credit to graduate from High School. He then went to war and after that, went to work to support his new family.
I didn't know he never Graduated until he found out I was working at Benson High School one day. He made a joke to me stating, if I found his diploma, to bring it home to him. That's when I first heard the story of him not graduating. I asked the front office staff who to talk to and they sent me to Andrea. She was so exited that I wanted to get my grandpa a diploma. She told me I needed his discharge papers from the army. I went and got them and in two days, I had his papers in my hand. He is in the June 3rd class, 2005. It took him 65 years to graduate, but we did it.

I told him to be careful what he asked me for............ He might just get it!

He was asked to walk with his class, but he wont do it. He said he's to old, but the tears in his eyes when I gave him his diploma was all I needed to see to know how happy I had made him. Posted by Hello
