Hailie Update
Hailie has been very busy this last week or so. She started off the weekend with 3 ball games starting at 8:30 in the morning. She had all three games back to back and we were done around Noon. Her team played an awesome game and won the first game, coming back from behind. They lost the second game and almost won the third. There games were probably the best games of the fall season. She was supposed to play 2 more games on Sunday, but, the rain came in and ruined the fields for play on. They are going to make up the games this weekend if the weather doesnt go south again!
Hailie then played in her second sport of fall on Tuesday. She played one of the best teams in her school in Volleyball. They lost the first set and came back and won the second and third! I don't have any pictures of this game, but, Hailie played the best she has and played almost the whole game! She is getting VERY GOOD!!!!! Looks as if Softball may have some competition!
We then went to her parent teacher conferences. As we knew, Hailie is doing very well in school. She has not missed one spelling word and has gotten 100% on all her math homework! If she makes sure to turn in all her assignment's, she may be on the honor roll this year!!!!!

It comes with nose plugs, tongs, hand soap, goggles and rubber gloves for changing those dirty diapers. All I can say to my little brother is............. GOOD LUCK!

Here is a picture of Mount Saint Helens from this Morning. As you can see, there is steam rising out of the top of the crater. Magma, from inside the Mountain, has started to reach the surface of the crater and is now flowing out the top of the Mountain as Lava. Not much to see from this camera, but, the news channels have had Choppers flying and looking right into the Volcano showing the Hot, deep red lava coming to the surface.

This is the view that waited for us as we awoke this morning. The mornings are starting to get cold, but, the views are spectacular! The weather is supposed to be summer like for the next few days. 70's - 80's!!!! I have a feeling this will be the last of the summer weather. Monday, they say, will be rainy and a high of 56!!!!!! YUCK!!!! I can live without that!
Fall is coming!
Here is a sign that fall is starting to make an entrance. Leaves are starting to turn and the cool crisp mornings and the dew on the grass is finely here. Fires are starting to appear in the horizon of all the trimmed and dead branches, twigs or leaves. The smell of smoke and coolness hovers in the air as we see a haze from all the fires in the fields. No matter how much I hate winter, I must admit, this time of year with all the Indian summer days are so nice to see.
Hailie serving the ball in one of her games. So far, they have are 8 wins and 1 loss. The tam is made up of 6th through 8th graders. It's a good thing that she has another sport to play! Softball was rained out this last Sunday because of the rain we had on Friday and Saturday! We hope she will be playing Softball this weekend. We are going to have highs of 80 deg tomorrow and Thursday, but, cooler by the weekend. On game day, we are only going to be in the low 60's.
